Dr. Jane Hoffman was
a faculty member at Humboldt University in
California for eight years, teaching flute,
coaching chamber music, flute choir, theory
and beginning woodwinds.
She holds degrees from College of the Redwoods,
Eureka, CA; Humboldt State University, Arcata,
CA; a Master's Degree from Cal State, Northridge;
and a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from SUNY
Stony Brook, NY.
Performance Highlights:
Jane enjoys her seasonal performances with
the Sarasota Opera, the Craig
Turley Orchestras and many other concert
series at home and abroad. She has traveled
to study in Nice, France; performed in Mallorca,
Spain; at the Miller Theater at Columbia University
in Manhattan with the Contemporary Chamber
Players and was a fellow in the Sarasota Music
Festival.
Teaching:
Dr. Hoffman teaches in her private studio and is on the faculty at the Suzuki
Institute School of Music and adjunct teacher at Sarasota High School. She also teaches group classes
for Pre-K at Chabad of Sarasota.
